Nab ride out 26 May 2015

The guest speaker at the May Club meeting was Andrew Richardson, the Co founder of REALsafe® Technologies Ltd / REALRIDER®.

Andrew has drawn upon over 10 years experience in the motorcycle arena to deliver an innovative online and mobile solution for the safety of all motorcyclists. He is responsible for REALRIDER®, the first Smartphone App-based crashed detection system to be fully integrated into the UK NHS Ambulance Service Network.
 AAA
Powered by REALsafe®, the App detects if you’ve had a crash and sends your location, medical and contact info directly to Ambulance Control when you can’t. As well as a potentially life-saving safety feature, the App lets you record and upload your rides and points of interest to a dedicated website at www.realrider.com.  Here you’ll find the industry-first E-Learning Centre – packed with hours on on-road video commentary featuring reading the road, cornering, junctions and more.

Andrew explained why and how the crash detection process was created and what refinements have been made to date.  He answered a number of questions from members about the product and talked about the next phase of web and mobile developments.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the presentation and if you would like any further information or purchase the app then please let me know.
Prior to the meeting 11 people enjoyed a ride-out via Scorton, Yarm, Crathorne, Stokesley and back to Thrintoft.  The weather was excellent and we arrived b back just in time for Andrew to set up ready for his presentation at 20:00.
