Monthly Meeting at Thrintoft
27th March 2018
19.30 for 19.45 start.
John Johnson has kindly agreed to give us a presentation at this month’s meeting. His talk will be about the “Big 3” electric guitars in his collection (Strat, Telecaster and Les Paul). His will give us an insight into how and why they’ve each made a unique contribution to rock music. He will have YouTube footage (if the wifi is kind to us) of artists most associated with each one and you will get a chance to get your hands on them (not plugged in!).

Croft Track Day – 31 July 2015
Following Pete Mason’s impromptu presentation at the Club Meeting on Tuesday 28 July, in the absence of the booked speaker who was unavailable, a few NAB members went along to Croft on Friday 31 July to witness Pete and fellow NAB member Malcolm Watt taking part in the Croft Track Day.
Pete’s presentation proved very interesting and enjoyable and it had whetted the appetite for some who thought they would like to have a go. Those that did make it to Croft all thought it was a great, free day out some were keen to explore the possibilities of having a go.
Teasdale Motorcycles Event – Saturday 11th April
Just a short note to say thank you to all club members and in particular to the participants on the day who made the event a success.
It may have started a little slow first thing on Saturday but as the weather picked up and the riders arrived for their rides on the KTM’s and other bikes the event took shape. Many folk appeared, all interested in all things related with biking.
BBC radio Tees came along and interviewed Pete (again!). It was attended by the Bike safe team, The North Yorkshire Police and the guys from the Blood Bike transport team.
Lots of demo equipment from Teasdales – KTM, MV and others and a hog roast that was enjoyed by many.
We raised over £200 (amazing!) in the raffle, in support of our club and the air ambulance and prizes were drawn at the end of the day. Don’t forget to collect any prizes, if you have not already done so, if you were lucky ones!
We were kept busy particularly in the afternoon with observed rides and signed up 2 new IAM members on the day and had a number of interested parties that may join.
A big THANK YOU to all participants and Teasdale Motorcycles for hosting the event. A Grand Day Out!!!
Regards, Mike Edwards (interim Club Secretary)
